Overview
The STECCI Annual Meeting was held on 29-30 September 2026 in Berlin. Hosted by project partners Prof. Dr. Stefan Simon and Dr. Abdelrhman Fahmy, the meeting provided an opportunity to review progress from the third project year, discuss implementation against the Grant Agreement, and coordinate priorities for the remaining project period.
The first day focused on overall project progress, Work Package reporting, technical and financial implementation, and preparation of the Second Periodic Report. Partners presented key achievements, milestones, deliverables, ongoing activities, risks, and priorities. The discussions also highlighted major project developments and activities, including the STECCI Climate Atlas Software, STECCI Game, Summer Academies, and research activities carried out across the project.
The second day focused on the development of the STECCI Preservation Guidelines, bringing together scientific, analytical, environmental, and conservation results relevant to the preservation of stone heritage. Partners also worked jointly on the structure of the Guidelines, future contributions, responsibilities, and deadlines.
The Annual Meeting concluded with a visit to the Rathgen Research Laboratory, where participants had the opportunity to see its facilities and learn more about the methods used in the scientific analysis and conservation of cultural heritage.
