The STECCI project is pleased to present the preliminary programme of Summer Academy 2 (SA2), focused on conservation, protection, and smart management of stećci under climate change impacts. SA2 places particular emphasis on hands-on conservation training and the European Days of Conservation Science and Arts.
The programme includes activities at the University of Sarajevo, schools and cultural venues in Ilijaš, and field training at the necropolises of Kopošići and Križevići. Through academic sessions, workshops, regional and EU-level discussions, and practical conservation work, SA2 connects research, education, heritage protection, and community engagement.
SA2 aims to strengthen capacities in conservation practice, promote interdisciplinary and international cooperation, increase awareness of climate-related risks affecting cultural heritage, and encourage long-term stakeholder engagement in the sustainable preservation of stećci.
